Our Vision for Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County is a great place to live, worship, work, raise a family, go to school and play.

Race Relations

We celebrate the achievements of the Civil Rights movement and we remind people of the Republican Party’s history. Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, ended slavery in 1863. Republicans were instrumental in overturning the Jim Crow laws that were created and enforced by Southern Democrats. Republicans led the Civil Rights movement. We uphold the standard expressed by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963. “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character… Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline.”

Race Relations in Gwinnett

Diversity

We are one of the most diverse counties in America with over 150 nationalities and ethnicities represented. We respect each person, of every race and ethnicity, and we will continue to work for equal opportunity for all. No one should be cancelled or disrespected because of the color of their skin or their ethnic background. We reject racism and false accusations of racism from every quarter.

The Gwinnett GOP rejects stereotyping and associated lies and myths. We are Black and White, Indian and Asian – we welcome every race and ethnicity. We totally reject the stereotypes of “the party of the rich”, “white oppressors” or “white supremacists.” We represent Americans of all varieties who believe in conservative values. Gwinnett Republicans are individuals. Get to know us.

Celebrate Gwinnett Diversity

Diversity & Inclusion 2.0

Freedom

We believe in the individual freedoms that are guaranteed by the Constitution: freedom of speech, freedom of the press (you are free to express your opinions) and freedom of religion or conscience (you should not be discriminated against because you don’t agree with popular ideas).

Freedom of Speech & Cancel Culture

Freedom of the Press & Censorship

Freedom of Religion & Conscience

Education

We celebrate excellence in the Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS). We are proud of the remarkable achievements of GCPS including as two-time Broad Award winner. The Broad Award is objective evidence of excellence both in educational achievement and in managing diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to continue and expand that excellence and to reduce and eliminate instances of racial injustice.

We believe that parents are the primary educators of our children. GCPS should not indoctrinate our children with radical Marxist-based ideology. Gender issues should be resolved by students and parents, schools should be neutral. Parents should control educational curriculum, not the government.

Families

Healthy families are the most important unit of a civilized society. A child’s character is formed primarily by his family. Fathers are especially important; in fact, a caring father is the single most important factor in determining a person’s success in life. We want to support and nurture healthy single and two-parent families and oppose the forces that attempt to destroy the family unit.

Business

We believe in economic freedom that results from free, open and competitive markets. We are pro-business and especially pro-small business because businesses create jobs and drive economic growth. Gwinnett has been a very attractive place for business for three decades, we want to continue to foster growth.

Government

Republicans believe that local and state governments best represent the people, therefore most laws and regulations should be implemented at these levels.

We believe in the rule of law and in the United States Constitution as providing both the principles undergirding our Constitutional Republic and the legal foundation for our government. We oppose all efforts to rewrite or undermine the rule of law.

Governments flourish when there is agreement on fundamental principles and truths, when parties engage in reasoned debate and compromise.

Republicans oppose the one-party tyrannical system apparently sought by the Democrat Party in a radical thirst for power at any cost. That is not the future we want for America.

Safety

We are committed to keeping our schools and communities safe and secure for all citizens. We work to protect the rights of crime victims. We support the right to keep and bear arms and we support gun safety and training. We support law enforcement and sentencing that is fair, firm and focused on eliminating recidivism.

Immigration

Gwinnett is home to thousands of immigrants. We support legal immigration and efforts to secure our borders. We believe that every sovereign nation has the right to establish and enforce immigration and citizenship laws – and most countries do that!

As a nation founded by immigrants, we believe that the process for legal immigration should be fair and reasonable for those who desire to participate in and embrace American principles and rule of law. Those who have entered the United States illegally should not receive amnesty nor taxpayer support.

Assimilation

Every generation of American immigrants for two hundred years has, over time, assimilated to American customs and traditions, learned our language, and self-identified as “American.” Our vision is to re-establish this objective, to again become a “Melting Pot” rather than a society of competing factions based on Identity Politics.
