Many people today believe that American Democracy is at risk, that Congress is dysfunctional and that the federal bureaucracy is not responsive to the will of the people.  Many things are broken.  This is a serious question: Can our American Republic survive?  It is a question that the American Founders pondered deeply.  All other attempts at democracy had failed.  In this brief talk we will examine their answers.  What did the Founders believe was essential for survival?  What are the essential foundations of the American Republic?
